A 1974 Texas A&M introduction. Alma produces yellow, golden bronze, medium to large sized, pear shaped fruits with amber flesh. The figs are sweet, rich honey flavor with barely noticeable seed crunch and have a well sealed eye. This variety ripens mid to late season. Cuttings were taken from Dad's tree, a productive in ground tree. Figs pictured are from the mother tree. These will produce figs in their 1st season.
Greetings and Thank You for looking at my listing. My name is Homer and started with a single Alma tree my Father planted many years ago when he was alive. Over the years, I've acquired more trees and cuttings from well respected and trusted members of the fig community.
We give all our trees plenty of water before shipping to keep them hydrated while in transit. Grown in a 6" x 7" pot and ready to be repotted. Upon arrival let them dry before watering again. Place in the shade to help them get acclimated to their environment as they have been growing in a greenhouse. I only ship inside of the continental U.S. No shipping to California, Alaska, Hawaii or the various island territories; no international shipping. I use USPS Priority shipping. I ship on Monday's and Tuesday. Thanks for looking.
