Greetings !!!
Up for sale is this rooted cutting of Medieval Yvoire. It's a small to medium sized yellow fig with a nice dark red pulp and berry flavor. It’s an unknown fig that was discovered by a fellow fig collector while visiting family in France/Switzerland. I've taste 1 other fig from this adventure and have finally been able to fruit another one of them. This is a pretty nice fig from what I've tasted so far. You can read about Evelyn's adventure here in the Figs For Fun Archive.
The 4 main figs from her adventure are:
1. Bardonnex Petite Violet (very Productive, decent flavor)
2. Medieval Yvoire
3. Lg Vignes Purple Bardonnex
4. St Julien en Genevois (this one seems to not be a common fig)

My name is Dan Foster. I’ve been growing figs since 2011 and it’s become a passion of mine that I hope you’ll find to be as rewarding as I have. My goal when I began this obsession was to grow and taste as many varieties as I can to find the best tasting figs for my area. This is still true today. You can find me on Facebook and Ourfigs fig forum. All of my figs should be assumed to have been exposed in some way to FMV Fig Mosaic Virus. When young, figs will often show more severe symptoms, but most of the time many of them grow out of this as long as good growing and fertilizing practices are in place.
You will receive the exact plant that is photographed. They are grown in a 3"x 8" Stuewe & Sons Tree-pot along with a professional growing mix. They should have a very nice root system and should rebound from transplanting easily. Once transplanted, I think it’s always a good idea to place the newly planted tree in a shadier location for a week just to make sure it can recover adequately to its new environment. This is especially true when replanting in a southern location or when the temperatures are above 80.
My growing operation has been inspected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and I’m licensed to ship to all 50 States. However, I will only ship inside the continental U.S. Send me a message if you have any questions. I usually ship using a box from 18x4x4 to a 24x4x4 box. I prefer to use USPS Priority shipping. I can use Fedex if you desire. Please make sure you email me your phone # so that I can buy the Fedex shipping label . I will ship out Sunday auctions on Tuesday morning and Thursday auctions ship out Saturday morning at the latest. The faster your invoice is paid, the faster I can get your plants out. Combined shipping is available automatically upon invoice with multiple auctions being won through FigBid within the same day. They will combine automatically, so wait to pay after all of the auctions you're bidding on are complete for the night.
Shipping to California is not an issue with me us because of the certifications and inspections I've acquired. You may be taking a risk buying from other growers who have not taken these steps. *** Shipping can still be slow due to the pandemic. Please be patient and understanding of the issues associated with the shipping process ***.
Thank you for your support and happy figging!!!!!
