Sacred Origin Athens Purple Passion.
A common fig that does not require the fig wasp.
The overall profile of this delicious fig has a main distinct fig flavor complemented by cherry and berry notes with an mild citric tang.  The mildly sweet refreshing flavor is well balanced to bring out the concentrated distinct flavors of cherry and passion fruit.  The thin green skin is blushed with a purple bottom around the ostiole. Last year the figs displayed a rimada green with purple and pink stripes on the main crop. I missed getting a picture due to deer.  I hope to show off these beauties! Ripen late July into Aug. in zone 9b
