RISTAN -UNK. Rooted cutting in a 3x8 pot. Spectacular cultivar from Albania.

This listing is for a well rooted and fast growing Ristan in a 3x8 pot. This is a Cultivar from Albania  that I named Ristan- after the owner of the Property where the tree is growing. This cultivar along with a few others were absolute standouts on my visit back years ago. I came across this amazing fig while walking the streets of a farm town in southern Albania and it immediately caught my attention with how many ripe figs it had hanging on it and drying on the tree. “Ristan is a seedling growing out the base of a wall that just appeared there one day and I was going to cut it down but after tasting the fruit, I decided that this fig was truly special” Mr. Ristan stated. Having tried this cultivar myself, all I have to say it that this cultivar has it all!!! Ristan produces beautiful medium-large figs that when they ripen, they start off with a beautiful green/purple coloration and a white stary appearance and as they continue to ripen they get a blue/black coloration with white dots looking like the nights sky. The interior is vibrant red and it has lots of thick nectar inside that when you eat it the amazing taste lingers in your mouth for quite some time. It is very sweet and it has a  complex berry / figgy flavor profile and the fruit does not fall from the tree even when fully ripe and dry. This cultivar is also very vigorous and prolific, producing fruit on every node and many nodes have double fruit. The skin is slightly firm and it has a closed eye possibly making it a great commercial variety. In its native environment it only produces a heavy main crop  figs in late July and continues to ripen figs until late October. Absolutely stunning variety for rare tree collectors.
 

 I suspect all my trees may have been exposed to  FMV at some point, even the ones that don’t exibit any signs. If this is a concern, please do not bid. 

I will usually ship on Monday’s to avoid post office delays over the weekend. Weekday auctions will ship Thursday.  Please be aware that’s the post office is a lot slower than usual due to the inclement weather. Item will be shipped USPS priority or UPS 2-3Day select, but there have been instances when it has taken longer than a week to arrive, however that’s rare. If somehow the item arrives damaged please take pictures of both box and contents and make me aware. 

If there is ever a problem with the item upon arrival,  please make me aware and I will do my best to make it right.
