Figo Preto – Well-Rooted in Tree Pot

You are bidding on a well-rooted cutting of Figo Preto that is growing vigorously in a 9" x 4" tree pot. This was started in December. 

The Figo Preto fig variety is a remarkable cultivar renowned for its exceptional taste. Originating from Portugal, this fig bears medium-sized, pear-shaped fruit with a luscious deep purple to black skin.

Its unique elegant berry flavor sets it apart from other fig varieties, boasting a harmonious blend of sweetness and a subtle hint of acidity. The reddish-pink flesh inside is delightfully juicy and succulent, providing an explosion of delectable flavors with each bite. This is a must-have variety for serious fig collectors. 

Figo Preto is a common type fig and does not need pollination by wasps.

Figo Preto is a known synonym for Black Madeira, although it seems to grow faster with greater overall vigor and faster ripening fruit. 

Figo Preto is described as an “Elegant Berry” flavor, and requires a long season to ripen well. 

Does well as a container plant in the Northeast.
