Calderona (MP) - Grafted onto Cipolla

This listing is for Calderona  MP grafted onto Cipolla in attempt to get a more vigorous tree and currently growing in a 1 gallon pot. Calderona is a Spanish fig variety that came from the collection of Montserrat Pons. Calderona is said to be very productive, ripening lots of figs each growing season and it’s earlier ripening than CdM for those with shorter growing season. The dark colored, medium-large sized figs are round and have black/purple skin. Their red pulp has an intense, dark berry flavor. The texture is syrupy with a mild seed crunch. Calderona is a common variety, not requiring wasp pollination. Excellent fig to add to your collection. 

The tree has been growing under grow lights and should be introduced slowly to full sun. Please protect from extreme weather.  I assume all my figs have been exposed to FMV but it has never adversely affected the vigor or production.  If this is a concern, please do not bid. 

All my cuttings have come from very reputable sources in the fig community and If there is ever a problem or discrepancy, please make me aware and I will make it right.
