This variety is absolutely amazing in many aspects:

•     it's very early
•     long eating season (from early June till late November)
•     delicious: not a lot of figs can dry out on the tree like RdB with fantastic taste as you can see on the picture
•     aggressive grower
•     cold hardy (can die at 10F with no protection or below but will grow back beautifully).

My mother tree is very healthy and bears enormous figs (although Ronde de Bordeaux is known for its small figs) without any fertilizer.
