Description

Up for auction is a rooted cutting of Desert King in a 4”x9” tree pot.  What you see is what you will get.

Desert King is a San Pedro type fig, so it produces a breba crop in the absence of fig wasp and a main crop requiring wasp-pollination.  It has been known as one of the best productive and reliable variety in the Northwest area, producing abundant yellowish-green figs with a sweet and richly flavorful, strawberry-colored flesh. The breba crop ripens on 2 year growth branches as early as mid-summer.  Desert King is a cold resistant fig variety.

Appreciate it if you would please read below carefully:

1. Shipment by USPS Priority Mail only.  Shipment fee is $20 for the first item and $10 for any additional tree.  Only Ship to US and no shipment to HI, AK and CA.

2. When the weather is cold, I will drop off your order at a local site of USPS.  The buyer should pay attention to your local weather to avoid cold damage.  Please plan with me if you would like to delay the shipment due to incipient weather.

3. The fig trees on sale are rooted from cuttings collected from my own plants, trusted FigBid sellers, or credential commercial sources.

4. The cuttings are rooted in ProMix potting soil and grown under grow lights, so will need acclimation to outdoor conditions.  Trans-potting to a larger container is recommended after one week upon reception.

5. I assume all of my fig trees have been exposed to FMV.

6. I try my best to send you a healthy tree.  If anything is not going well, please contact me and we will find a way together to resolve the issue.

Thank you!
