Description

Tree shipped will be at least 8" in height and typically taller. These are vigorously growing in their first year of growth and figs are fast growers! This one is a little bigger than my listings at $13; that's the reason for the extra 2 bucks. :)

On shipping/combined shipping: If you pay more than what the actual shipping costs me I will provide a refund. This comes into play often on combined shipping. This site does not use weights for shipping so I have no choice but to charge a full shipping at a maximum rate per item. You will be refunded typically the same day after payment for shipping overages!

Italian Purple is a Mid Season common fig with great berry flavor and a nice seed crunch. Heirloom Cold Hardy Variety for zones 6-9.

The Common Fig Tree generally, is scientifically known as Ficus carica, is a versatile and popular fruit-bearing tree that can thrive in various climates. With a rich history dating back thousands of years, the Common Fig is not only known for its delicious fruits but also for its ornamental value, making it a valuable addition to home gardens. Its adaptability to different soil types and relatively low maintenance requirements make it an excellent choice for both experienced gardeners and beginners.

One of the standout features of the Common Fig Tree is its ability to produce sweet and nutritious figs, which are enjoyed fresh, dried, or used in various culinary dishes. The figs are not only a tasty treat but also a good source of dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals. This makes the Common Fig a health-conscious choice for those looking to incorporate nutrient-rich fruits into their diet.

The Common Fig Tree is well-suited for a wide range of climates, from USDA Hardiness Zones 6 to 11, making it a cold-hardy option for gardens in cooler regions. It typically reaches a moderate height and width, creating a balanced and aesthetically pleasing canopy. The growth rate can vary, but generally falls within a moderate range, allowing for relatively quick establishment and fruit production.
