Grows well in the Maritime PNW Z9-8b, ripening in September through October. Produces an abundance of medium-sized striated purple-brown fruit with yellow flesh and a rich, sweet flavor. Leaves are large and smooth with 3-7 lobes. Attractive form and suitable for container culture, the mother tree is grown in a 10-gal. pot as an informal fan espalier.
Originally collected from Dana's cultivated tree of unknown variety, at 15 years old (planted yr. ~2000), with an upright form 12' tall x 10' wide, grown in an open grass field in Redmond, WA. The original tree produced several gallons of figs over the month of September.
