Constantine De Algerie, (CDA) is a very rare fig variety from Algeria, North Africa introduced by Dato. I have many duplicates of this tree planted and the fig is huge. It has rich yellow skin with golden amber pulp and a good seed crunch. The fruit is compact with a unique, sweet, juicy honey flavor, and a delightful aroma.
It is a vigorous grower, everbearing (tropical climate only) highly productive, and fruits early in the season. It is a very large fig with an average weight of 80-120 grams. It is a very reliable producer and is the top fig for our fresh fig market. It doesn’t bruise easily, has a longer shelf life . You will get one cutting similar to the pic. Cuttings are lignified with a minimum of 3 nodes. Common fig does not require pollination.
