BROWN TURKEY TREE IN 1 GALLON CONTAINER

Brown Turkey tree in 1 gallon container. 

We have several of these in ground in zone 6b and all do well here.  We also use them for rootstock for premium varieties.  BT is a VERY vigorous variety and you can expect massive amounts of growth with this tree if you up pot right away or plant in ground as weather permits in your zone.

BROWN TURKEY - The fig that every collection should start with.  Hardy, easy to grow and care for, reliable, forgiving.  Additionally the taste is quite good when dead ripe, and it is a good size fig.  Therefore it is no surprise this fig has been commercialized and is so popular with the large market distributors to the general public.  Our Brown Turkey has distinct notes of Cinnamon (when ripened properly) which makes it unique to any other fig we have in our vast collection.  This variety clearly gets overlooked within the fig community in the sense of how unique it is in flavor profile.    

Pictured tree is representative of what you will receive however you may receive a different tree from what is pictured as we have several in stock.   Please note, due to the time of season we are in the tree may or may not have leafed out yet.  Light pruning and/or topping may become necessary prior to auction ending. (Tree will be a maximum of 14 1/2" from bottom of pot to top of tree in order to fit in 15" USPS box)  This is actually good for the tree at this stage and encourages lateral scaffold branching.  If you are not ok with this please don't bid on our auctions.  If you have any questions please ask away prior to bidding on our auctions or purchasing items.    

Please note - Please remove tree carefully from box from the bottom.  Do not attempt to remove from box by pulling on tree.
