Every fig grower should be growing persimmons. If you enjoy figs, I think there's a strong chance you'll enjoy these. Dare I say that I like them more than figs. They're incredible fruits for so many reasons. 

These range in thickness, but I've tried to include thinner cuttings from 1 year old wood geared towards grafting. You can try rooting them. I'm not sure how difficult that is. Rooting hormone is a must, but I recommend doing some grafting instead. Virginiana seedlings are easy to find and affordable this time of year.

Miss Kim is the most precocious persimmon I've come across. It's fruited every year I've had it. The fruits are similar to a Fuyu or Jiro, but they are astringent. Similar in flavor to Hachiya with good hardiness and a much different shape.
