With honey sweet amber flesh and a lightly tart yellow green outer skin the Blanche Fig (its original name according to Dr. Ira Condit) has long been a favorite for fresh eating or drying. A vigorous fig that produces even in areas with short growing seasons it is known to produce two good crops where summers are longer. In the Southern US it is known as the Lemon Fig and is popular in the Northwest and California for home orchards where it is known as White Marseille or Lattarula.
This fig is known by many names, such as the Lattarula, Honey, Oregon Prolific, St. Anthony, and MANY more. According to the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, they claim the original name of this fig was the Blanche. By any name, this is the same type of fig brought over by US President Thomas Jefferson in 1769 from Southern France. He continued to propagate them through 1809, stating "unquestionably superior to any fig I have ever seen."
This White Marseilles fig has a yellowish-green skin, and a white/amber flesh. I find this fig tree produces a single large harvest of smaller sized but super sweet figs for me in late July, here in Zone 7.

KYS - Know Your Seller! There are a lot of people selling fig trees and fig tree cuttings that are NOT what they represent. Sadly, you will not know until a year or 2 later when there is little recourse. Simple searches of usernames on the internet can prevent this.
I am The1FigMan on OurFigs.com discussion forum.
If you receive damaged cuttings due to shipping or are unhappy with the cuttings, PLEASE email me. I believe CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is PARAMOUNT! If there is any damage to the padded mailer upon receipt, please take a picture or two of the unopened mailer with the label and a picture or two of the cuttings so I may file a claim with the post office.
Sorry, no international shipping!
