Description

Live Plant Ciliegia Dolce Italian Fig Tree in 1 gallon pot

The first 2 pictures of the actual tree you are bidding on were take May 22, 2018.

KNOW YOUR SELLER - There are a lot of people selling fig tree and tree cuttings that are NOT what they represent.  Sadly, you will not know until a year or 2 later where you will have no recourse.  Simple searches on the internet of eBay usernames can prevent this.

I am Nunuorig on online fig discussion forums.

I added the Ciliegia Dolce last year from a friend of a friend.  The backstory: My friend found 3 of these trees on his property in CT and invited me over to take a peak. He reached out to the previous land owner who explained the back story. Apparently, the great grandfather brought it over from Southern Italy as it was a family heirloom. He had a near impossible time rooting it, and lost all his cuttings but 1. The story went on where the next year he was trimming it, and he shoved some of the cuttings in the ground. Fast forward a 100 years, and there are now 3 large trees in the ground.

Now, I don't know how true the story is, but this is what was told to me.  I provide a mode detail history and other reviews on discussion forums (simply search of the Ciliegia Dolce).

The fig is not over bearing with sweetness, and has a wonderful cherry flavor just as the name suggests, with a hint of grape. The tree is also cold hardy, surviving in ground in zone 7, up here in CT.  The current owner does not wrap these. The figs I've harvested last year were over 2 grams.

The mother tree also had quite a few of the double figs like the Dall Osso, as seen in the last picture below (about 5-10% of the figs).

Picture 1 - Main Picture - This is front of the actual tree you will receive.
Picture 2 - The top of the actual tree you will receive.
Picture 3 - The Mother Tree (NOT your tree).
Picture 4 - Leaf Pattern of the mother tree.
Picture 5 - Figs from 2017 harvest. About 10% of the figs have the double fig similar to the Dall Osso.
Rest of pictures, Figs harvested from 2017.

All my tree's are treated with Neem Oil, Sevin, and/or Malathion to prevent the cause and/or spread of FMV.  However, I assume all my plants have been exposed to Fig Mosaic Virus (FMV).

I will ship on Monday after the auctions closes as long as payment is received.

I only ship USPS to confirmed addresses.

Paypal only.

Shipping to confirmed addresses of the continental United States only. No shipping to California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Alaska. Know your states laws and rules on receiving plant material prior to bidding. Buyer accepts responsibility on shipping to buyer's state.

If you receive a damaged tree due to shipping or are unhappy with the tree, PLEASE email me. Customer satisfaction is PARAMOUNT.

Return Policy
If you receive a damaged item or are unhappy with the purchase, please email me.  I believe that CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS ESSENTIAL! As with all reputable sellers, I try to carefully pack cuttings and plants to protect them during shipping.  If there is any damage to the package upon receipt, please take a picture or two showing the damage to the unopened package with the label visible with the tracking ID.  If you would prefer, you can refuse shipping, write "Return to Sender: DAMAGED" on the outside of the unopened package, and return it to the vendor for inspection.  The delivery service is supposed to send the package back to me documented with the damage.  Upon confirmation of the damage, I will issue a complete refund. Due to the varying shipping environments, the package may not look great upon receipt.  If you do not wish to send it back, please remove and inspect the item right away.  Please take a picture or two and email me with any concerns.  I will provide replacements or 100% refunds up to a week after delivery, as long as the condition is documented with me upon receipt.  You may need to bring the cutting and original shipping package to the post office for inspection.  Please do contact me ASAP so I may assist with the process.
