Rare - Black Madeira fig tree

This is a Black Madeira fig tree in a 1 gallon pot. This variety is excellent and well known for being the "best tasting fig" by many collectors. It's productive, and has an excellent sweet flavor. It will sometimes ooze honey from the eye when ripe and the interior will make your hands sticky. I have had first season perfectly ripe figs from this variety. Black Madeira has been known to struggle and grow slow, and my mother tree did, the first year. I have started many plants since then from my original tree and they have all grown much more vigorous.This variety is a "must have" for any serious collector. Last image is of a tree I planted in the spring of 2017.

This tree needs to be acclimated to your area and to direct sunlight. I recommend upon receiving the tree, that you keep it in a shady location for 7 days before moving to direct sunlight.
