Description

Note: For this Pitaya, I was not able to take a picture of the root system because it's larger, but I did check it. I can verify that it does have a strong root system. I will post a picture of the roots, soon.

They're back! Limited amount available!

You are bidding for the Rooted Pitaya Cactus Cutting in the pictures. It is well rooted & actively growing.

It was taken from larger cacti that I grew from seeds. Currently in a 1 gallon container. I started the cacti back in 2015. The seeds were brought from Mexico. It is a Red-Fleshed pitaya. I can verify the seed are of the red-fleshed Pitaya because I picked them out of the fruit myself. All the pictures except for the first one, belong to me. They show the Cactus you will receive, the mother cacti, and a picture of a pitaya I recently ate this early May 2019 (brought from Mexico). It is a very sweet, delicious fruit.

Pitaya is a fruit that grows on the organ pipe cactus in Mexico and in the southwest region of the United States. The bright red fruit is also known as ‘pitaya dulce’. The genus of this cactus is Stenocereus. It is a close relative to the Pitahaya aka Dragon fruit.

This fruit has begun to become a bit more common; at least around my area. But it is still very hard to obtain in the US, and when available, it is very expensive.

It is a very sweet fruit, that has a taste of berry. It is very delicious! Its fruit is refreshing like a prickly pear cactus fruit, but the seeds are small and crunchy like a Dragon fruit.

Disclaimer: I do not know how long it will take for the cactus to begin fruiting. They have not produced any fruit for me, because I assume they are still too young. As the pipe cactus grows, it grows more and more 'ribs' around it. As you can see, these have a few 'ribs'. The cactus thorns will be removed for shipping purposes. It will not effect the growth of the cactus.

My largest cacti are already looking fairly old & their cactus spikes are huge now.

I'm sorry I do not do international shipping. US states only, EXCEPT for HI, and AK. As the buyer, you are responsible for knowing your states laws on importing live plants.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. I will do my best to answer all questions.

Thank you! :)
