Negra d' Agde

I am offering a well rooted cutting of Negra d'Agde growing in a 4 x 9 tree pot outdoors under shade cloth.  This variety was found in the village of Agde France by a fig collector.  It is a very attractive medium sized, dark purple / black fig with white flecks,and deep berry red colored jammy interior.  I have read it is vigorous, fine skinned, has an average weight of 60 g, is storm resilient with a small dark red eye, earlier to ripen than CdD with a long harvest season..and even the potential to dry figs on the tree.  What is to not like here???    Truthfully, I was going to keep this second tree...but my fig herd is already out of control....ha, ha...and there are other varieties that I STILL have my eye on...so this one is available...sadly.

With this being an extra rooted cutting,  I have not gotten fruit from this variety yet.  My cuttings were purchased from Harvey at Figaholics and here is a link to one of his recent videos featuring this great fig.  Harvey's comments were.  "this is really nice!  medium sweetness, quite good berry flavor, got some acidity to it,...just a good medium sized, dark fig"

Upon receipt, please keep your fig out of direct sunlight but in bright ambient light to allow it to acclimate to it's new environment for a few weeks.  If all looks well, then feel free to gradually increase sun exposure and up pot to a 3 or 5 gallon pot. 

I will package carefully to ensure a safe delivery.  Please make arrangements on your end to ensure the package is not left sitting in the hot sun, and that you open immediately and water if needed.  The tracking information will be provided.   I will combine shipping.  Message me for the combined shipping adjustment prior to payment.
