Souadi fig tree

Souadi is a very unique Lebanese variety introduced by Bass. It has unique purple black skin with amber flesh. It is so hard to categorize its flavor. It is sweet and jammy, but less “figgy” and more syrupy. I love it and remember paying 152 dollars for it back in 2013. I know it was this much because my wife reminds me all of the time that I spent that much money on a fig tree. Anyway, souadi ripens around the end of August in my area of PA. I am considering growing it in the ground because I feel it may be early enough to get a good crop.
