St. Rita Fig Air Layer

St. Rita is a dark fig of the Mt. Etna family reputed to be earlier and more cold hardy than Hardy Chicago. In my experience, it is every bit as reliable and tasty as Hardy Chicago, but growers in some regions of the country believe that St. Rita tastes noticeably better.

First three photos are of the actual plant you are bidding on. (I cannot guarantee that the fig on the tree in the pictures will survive shipment.)

This air layer was started in June 2019. It will not come in the pot shown, but will be shipped in the plastic grow bag liner that's in the pot. Grow the tree in the shade for a bit before placing in direct sun or transplanting. The mother tree was grown from a cutting originally sourced from FigCuttings.com and acquired through a local fig hobbyist in the summer of 2018. However, I have fruited this variety and can confirm its identity.

I assume all my trees have been exposed to FMV.
