LSU Purple Fig Air Layer

The LSU Purple fig is one of the most well-known varieties from the LSU fig program. It is reputed to be highly disease and nematode resistant and good for growing in the humid South. Some say that the taste improves as the tree ages, and that once the tree matures, the fruit can be some of the best. The fruit I had from my young tree was still quite good to my taste buds.

First three photos are of the actual plant you are bidding on. This is a well-rooted, vigorously growing and branching specimen.

This air layer was started in June 2019. It will not come in the pot shown, but will be shipped in the plastic grow bag liner that's in the pot. Grow the tree in the shade for a bit before placing in direct sun or transplanting. The mother tree was a tissue culture purchased from seller "Hello Organics" on Amazon in the summer of 2017, but the plants are presumably sourced from AgriStarts. I have fruited this variety and can confirm it's identity. 

I assume all my trees have been exposed to FMV.
