Description

The inexpensive Black Mission variety is a must-have fig for anyone starting out new to this hobby.  A proven producer, the Mission, a high-quality fig, producing both a breba and main crop, and is considered an everbearing variety when planted in the right climate. The breba crop is large. The main crop is medium-sized. It is a dark-skinned fig with a strawberry colored interior. The skin of the fruit often cracks when it is ripe. The tree is long-lived and grows to be quite large, but can easily be grown to fruiting size in a container.  It is sensitive to frost, so requires some winter protection in zones 7 or lower.

The plant on sale is a rooted cutting in a 32 oz container, and is about 12" tall with multiple branches. The cutting was taken from a mature, 6' tall fruiting tree.

The tree in the first photo is the one on sale.

It's the buyer's responsibility to ascertain that shipment of out-of-state live plants is allowed into their state.
