Size: 15" tall

Container: 1 gallon

About the cultivar

Origin: Portugal

Torres is a cultivar that is grown both in Portugal and Spain. The one we are growing is from Portugal.

It produces a beautiful green to brown color fig of medium size. It has pinkish-red pulp that is very sweet with an amazing taste. The fruits from the plants growing in the native region are much darker.

It is a common type of fig and thus, does not need wasps to pollinate.

The plant: It was grown as a rooted cutting. The plant shows no signs of FMV, but it is possible that it has been exposed to it as no pathogenic tests have been conducted on the variety.

Instructions: Once received, the plant should be kept in a morning sun-only location for 2 weeks and then brought out into brighter light for another week. After that, full sun is best.

About the auction

You are bidding for the plant as shown in the pictures. The plant will be professionally packed and shipped UPS in an 8" x 8" x 24" box.

We ship UPS ground but if another method of expedited shipping is preferred, please let us know.

NOTE: Buyers from West Coast states (AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA) and North East states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT) are required to pay an additional $10 for shipping to cover the higher shipping costs.
Customers as far as NY, NJ, OH in the North, and TX in the mid-west typically receive their package within a couple of days from our Shipping location.

Our mother plants have come from trusted sources and are properly documented and tagged.

Warranty and returns

It is possible that some rust may materialize in transit because of the humid and often times warm interior of the box the plant is being transported in. Rust, as most know, does not negatively affect the plant itself and usually does not spread to other leaves once unboxed at its destination, especially in dry climates. It can easily be controlled with liquid copper sulfate.

We offer a 24-hour policy once the plant is received. That is, once received, the customer has 24 hours to contact us concerning broken/cracked trunk, severely dried, defoliated, or dead plant. It is common that a couple of leaves may have broken off in transit, or a small limb is snapped. If branches have broken, they can be cut off just below the break which should encourage New growth to flush out within a couple of weeks.

If a refund or replacement (if available) for the above-mentioned issues is required, SUJO Farms, Inc. will email a pre-paid UPS return label. The plant must be boxed in the same manner it was received in order for the return to be accepted.

The plant must be returned within 7 consecutive days of the original receipt to receive a refund/replacement. If a fig variety is available for replacement, we will reship the following Monday.

Refunds will be processed once the plant has been returned to us.

Beyond our 24-hour guarantee SUJO Farms, Inc. makes void any and all warranties expressed or implied, and is not responsible for the plant's future growing performance.

We strive to sell ONLY the BEST. Read the reviews to believe.

Best wishes,
FiggyLover
