Prickly Pear Cactus - 2 large pad cuttings

Cultivar: Prickly Pear Cactus

 

Info: These beautiful cacti produce gorgeous flowers followed by delicious fruits, they are perennials, drought-hardy, gopher resistant, edible, bee, and butterfly friendly.  You will receive 2 large size pads cut fresh from our large mature cacti which is over 30 years old. They will come wrapped but still include spikes so please open your box with protection.  You can cut up the pads and eat them or wait for the delicious fruits.  We root these cuttings by bearing 1/3 in cactus mix and watering occasionally, they are slow growing but root well when given a good home. 

 

Caution:  Lots of spikes on both pads and fruit so handle with care and we recommend gloves
