Gavriels Fig (Kadota type UKN)

Gavriels Fig (Kadota type UKN) is moderate in cold hardiness keeps wood every other year in zone 8a. It’s a vigorous grower (will get 10-15 canes/ branches that get about 8-10 ft from the ground) it typically ripens all its fruit. The flavor is strong strawberry and has green skin. The best guess is it ripens in August.

This fig was purchase in a bulk lot from EndlessFigs on the fig forum. The description comes directly from him as I have not fruited the tree yet. It was very easy to root and they are growing extremely well. Because of this success, I have way more than I need in my collect. Also, I'm growing it in zone 7a in Virginia.
