La Costa Unk. - Fig Cuttings

Unknown fig found near La Costa Canyon in San Diego County coastal area. 

This midseason vigorous variety, that produces on each node, has a closed eye with soft skin and moderate seed crunch.

Medium size fruit with a very rich and intense berry flavor with a nice acid balance. The skin bleeds to the pulp when fully ripened and fruit can dry on the tree if left hanging. My unbiased family liked it better than some of the top tier figs (blind tested) and my kids named it La Costa Jewell 

This is a common fig that does not require wasp and is a must-have variety for any dark berry flavor fans in my climate,
