I also accept Zelle. All items purchased will be prioritized by payment first (not transaction time).  Trees will be packed the night prior to shipping.  I only ship on the first Friday after the auction, or the following Monday and Tuesday.  In example, if you make a purchase on Sunday, the soonest the tree will ship is that Friday.  Based on destination, the tree may ship after that Friday, on Monday or Tuesday..

Description

The tree you see is the tree you will receive with a nicely grown out root system.  The tree was rooted 10/28/2018 and up potted 12/15/2018.

I do combine shipping if you win multiple auctions IF you wait for an invoice BEFORE paying.  Payment is expected no later than 12 hours of invoice.

See all my trees on auction here.

The tree is greenhouse grown and should be acclimated to direct light slowly.  Due to the cold temps, shipping may be slightly delayed.  If you receive a damaged box, please take a couple of pictures before opening, and take a couple of pictures of the tree so I may provide proper support.

I added the Ciliegia Dolce a few years ago from a friend of a friend who found 3 of these trees on his property in CT and invited me over to take a peak. He reached out to the previous land owner who explained the back story. Apparently, the great grandfather brought it over from Southern Italy as it was a family heirloom. He had a near impossible time rooting it, and lost all his cuttings but one. The story went on where the next year he was trimming it, and he shoved some of the cuttings in the ground. Fast forward 100 years, and there are now three large trees in the ground.

I don't know how true the story is, but this is what was told to me.  I provide a more detail history and other reviews on discussion forums (Read the full story here).

The fig is not over bearing with sweetness, and has a wonderful fig-cherry flavor just as the name suggests, with a hint of grape-sweetness. The tree is also cold hardy, surviving in ground in zone 7, up here in CT.  The current owner does not wrap these. The figs I've harvested last year were over 22 grams.

I add this note to all my generational figs:

One thing amazing about figs brought over by generational immigrants to consider: the immigrants are leaving their mother land forever. They bring whatever they can schlep. Yet, they bring a fig tree which I believe must have such a unique and savory flavor to them they cannot buy here in the United States. Moreover, I would like to think it's their way of bringing some of their old home roots to their new start. I love collecting and sharing these family heirlooms as I believe there is nothing more authentic, and each one has their own story.

KNOW YOUR SELLER - There are a lot of people selling fig tree and tree cuttings that are NOT what they represent.  Sadly, you will not know until a year or 2 later where you will have no recourse.  Simple searches on the internet of usernames can prevent this.

I am Nunuorig on OurFigs.com discussion forum.

All my trees are treated with Neem Oil, Sevin, and/or Malathion to prevent the cause and/or spread of FMV.  However, I assume all my plants have been exposed to Fig Mosaic Virus (FMV).

I will try and ship on Monday or Tuesday after the auctions closes based off USPS estimated days for deliver AND as long as payment is received.

I only ship USPS to confirmed addresses.

Paypal only.

Shipping to confirmed addresses of the continental United States only.  If you live in California and have interest in this tree, please send me a message.  Otherwise, no shipping to California, Hawaii, and Alaska.  Know your state's laws and rules on receiving plant material prior to bidding.  Buyer accepts responsibility on shipping to buyer's state.

If you receive a damaged cutting due to shipping or are unhappy with the cuttings, PLEASE email me. Customer satisfaction is PARAMOUNT.

Sorry, no international shipping!

Return Policy
If you receive a damaged item or are unhappy with the purchase, please email me.  I believe that CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS ESSENTIAL! As with all reputable sellers, I try to carefully pack cuttings and plants to protect them during shipping.  If there is any damage to the package upon receipt, please take a picture or two showing the damage to the unopened package with the label visible with the tracking ID.  If you would prefer, you can refuse shipping, write "Return to Sender: DAMAGED" on the outside of the unopened package, and return it to the vendor for inspection.  The delivery service is supposed to send the package back to me documented with the damage.  Upon confirmation of the damage, I will issue a complete refund. Due to the varying shipping environments, the package may not look great upon receipt.  If you do not wish to send it back, please remove and inspect the item right away.  Please take a picture or two and email me with any concerns.  I will provide replacements or 100% refunds up to a week after delivery, as long as the condition is documented with me upon receipt.  You may need to bring the cutting and original shipping package to the post office for inspection.  Please do contact me ASAP so I may assist with the process.
