These seeds come from a self-fertile Paw Paw tree that bears 60+ fruit each year on a medium size tree.  Most Paw Paw trees are not self fertile and require another Paw Paw variety to set fruit.  This Paw Paw variety allows you to have only one Paw Paw in a small space, and still enjoy the amazing fruit and high productivity.    

Unlike many fruit trees, Paw Paw usually throws "true to seed," and thus, these seeds are most likely to have self-fertile seedlings with identical genetics.  Paw Paw comes into productivity at a very young age, unlike most other seed-grown fruit trees.  You will receive five (5) cold-stratified seeds that are ready to plant. The fruit of the mother tree is medium sized with a pleasant melon flavor.

These seeds have been cold stratified since they were removed from the fruit and cleaned in Fall 2018.  They have been kept in a clean, cold medium, and are dark in color, healthy, and ready to plant immediately upon receipt.  They can also be stored in cold conditions for several years and remain viable.
