From FEDCO:

58 days to maturity.  Open-pollinated. 1983 Silver All-America winner bred by Calvin Lamborn and named for one of his daughters.  Very popular both with home gardeners and commercial growers.  The earliest snap pea, ripening in Central Maine around June 20, earlier in warmer areas, when customers are still excited about peas and greedy to purchase them in quantity.  Alan LePage says good timing is crucial for optimal root development early in the season, the key to high yields.  If you sow early into cool soil with good organic matter and your soil doesn’t heat up too fast, they produce bushels and bushels well into July. He has sown as early as Mar. 18 in a warm spring, Apr. 11 this past cool year.  Very good quality, sweetest of the dwarf snap peas.  Not as heavy-yielding as tall Sugarsnap.  Use the 2' vines to start the season.  Allow extra space between rows if you do not stake.

We dedicate an entire raised bed to peas and usually start a snow pea and snap pea each season.  Snow peas barely make it into the house and you'll always see the kids reaching into the bed and chewing.  Maybe that's the reason we grow so many.  For us, snap peas are for meals.  This season we're trying out Sugar Ann based on a recommendation from a neighbor.  Our neighbor grew it last season and they're growing it again this season.  Our neighbor stated it is the sweetest and earliest pea they've ever had.  We're in USDA 5a so that's good enough for us.  We started our seeds in mid-March and these took off like gangbusters.  By the looks of it, spring may be here early and we'll be able to get these in the ground very soon.  Since this is our first season growing Sugar Ann we don't have any of our own pictures to share and the picture In the listing is used with the permission of our supplier.  We'll add our own pics later this season.

Plant 3/4" deep, 2" apart, in rows 3' apart, on a fence, as soon as the ground can be worked.

Culture: Peas are legumes with moderate fertility requirements. Avoid excess nitrogen: they can fix their own. Use Legume Inoculant as an aid. They prefer cool, moist weather and dislike dry heat. Sow as early as ground can be worked for best yields. All peas produce more when staked; varieties over 2½' must be supported. Use either Trellis Plus or chicken wire. Install support at planting time to avoid disturbing seedlings. Plant 8–10 seeds/ft on each side of supports in double rows. Set supports for rows 3' apart (5' if very tall varieties).

Harvest snow peas before pods fill out. Don’t pick snap peas too soon: snaps taste sweetest when completely filled. Young snow and snap plants can be eaten as greens, good in mesclun or lightly cooked. To serve pea shoots, remove the coarse tendrils and break the stalk into 3" pieces each with some leaves.

Shipping and Combined Shipping

NYCfigs ships on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

We never 'pass the savings' of expensive shipping charges to the customer and always ship as economically as possible.  Sometimes this becomes a juggling act between cost-of-goods vs. cost-of-container vs. shipment size vs. shipping cost vs. margins.  With combined shipping, it's all in the packing and we'll always find the most inexpensive shipping method available.  But there are times when it's impossible to ship economically and we'll always let you know before paying.  The shipping for all items sold by NYCfigs will combine automatically with all other items purchased from NYCfigs.  Items that ship free can't be discounted.  In the rare instance of excess shipping charges, NYCfigs will refund after the invoice is paid.  This ensures your items are received in a timely manner.
