BALEARES 1 .. Prolific & Juicy fig variety from SPAIN

BALEARES 1 is a very productive fig cultivar that originated in Spain.  It is currently preserved and grown at the Botanical Conservatory of Porquerolles, France.   It produces large-sized fruits that are reddish-brown.  

The fruit is round.  The pulp is quite sweet and juicy with a good flavor.  It demonstrates good rain resistance and does well in warm humid conditions.  

It is a common type of fig and thus, does not need wasps to pollinate. 

For this bid, the Baleares 1 offered is in a 1-gallon container and is 15" tall. It was grown as a rooted cutting. The plant shows no signs of FMV, but it is possible that it has been exposed to it as no pathogenic tests have been conducted on the variety. 

Origin: SPAIN

Once received, the plant should be kept in a morning sun-only location for 2 weeks and then brought out into brighter light for another week. After that, full sun is best.
