XIN JIANG is a large yellow fig cultivar that originally came from the Xinjiang area in Northwest China. It produces really large-sized fruits that are distinct from other yellow varieties that come from China. The skin of the fruit is bright yellow and smooth. . The fruit has a tight eye and is highly preferred for fresh eating. It is also known to have a long shelf life making it popular as a commercial variety.
The pulp is soft and sweet. When allowed to dry on the tree the skin of the fruit develops dark pattern wrinkles. A picture of fruit drying on the tree is featured on the listing.
It is a common type of fig and thus, does not need wasps to pollinate.
For this bid, the Xin Jiang offered is in a 1-gallon container and is 15" tall. It was grown as a rooted cutting. The plant shows no signs of FMV, but it is possible that it has been exposed to it as no pathogenic tests have been conducted on the variety.

INFO: XIN JIANG is NOT the same as SAREK TUMAN. They are completely different cultivars from two different countries.
Once received, the plant should be kept in a morning sun-only location for 2 weeks and then brought out into brighter light for another week. After that, full sun is best.
