Description

You will receive the fig in the picture: Kadota rooted fig cutting growing in a 4"x4"x9" tree pot. It produces yellow-green fruit. Good for fresh eating or drying. The plant has been in partial sun; so gradual acclimation to full sun is advised.

I purchased my trees and cuttings from trusted sources; however, this tree has not fruited for me since I recently started my collection. Picture 4 and 5 is of one fruit I had this year. The last 2 pictures are of some of my fig trees.

I usually ship on Monday. Please notify me if you prefer a different departure date. I only ship to the Continental U.S. States ONLY (do not ship to California, though). Bids from other countries will unfortunately not be accepted. Paypal payment within 24hrs, please.

Who am I?

In 2018, while visiting Piscataway Park’s colonial farm, I was handed a fully-ripped-freshly-cut fig and then I was in love with this fruit. In Spring of 2019, I had 10 fig trees. Nowadays, I roughly have 130+ fig trees. I like to read about figs in Spain, Costa Rica and the US. I follow certain groups in Facebook as well. I have rooted from cuttings probably more than half of my collection. I grow some trees in ground (which I wrap during winter) but most in pots. My fig forest (or “higo-business”, as my older daughter calls it) is in Potomac, Maryland – zone 6b/7a. Fig fanatics tend to be very friendly, so I have met experienced and nice people in this hobby.

Finally, to be clear, this is a hobby for me and therefore I would like as many people as possible to enjoy figs.
