Description
Here's your chance. One of the rarest variegated figs on the planet. Firone "ORO" is a bifera variety and common. It comes from Italy and was discovered by Francesco Larusso. I have not tasted it nor has my tree fruited. My tree has grown well only a year old.The wood on ORO isstriped I can assure you it is the correct variety. This variety has also been known to sometimes produce green figs as well so I can't guarantee they will be variegated. It's truly a special variety and thank you to Francesco for letting me use your photo. This will be a limited selection I only was able to get a handfull of cuttings from my tree. This variety id extremely challenging to say the least. From getting the roots to getting it into a sellable size without dying is very frustrating. This is what makes it so special. I understand there is some rough weather around the US and have no problem holding the tree until it's clear. This tree was grown under the sun and also by a south facing widow. The tree is rooted well enough it should survive as I do see a few roots at the bottom. PM me with any questions.
