Description

The mighty Smith.  What more can I say?  More great things have been said about this wonderful fig than I can type here.  Rain resistant, soft skinned, super sweet complex unique flavor,  not exactly cold hardy so keep it in a pot unless you’re far enough south or can do low cordon etc.  This one has sent up a sucker (typical of smith and many fig varieties) which is perfect for air layering later this year, or just dig it up next summer for a second smith tree.

This is in a 4x9" tree pot and ready to be up potted.

Care:  This plant was started under artificial lighting and has spent the last few weeks in my greenhouse under partial shade of larger figs.  I recommend slowly acclimating it to your environment and full sun over time.

Shipping:  I ship in 5x5x20 box using spray foam around the bottom and a stake flush with the top of the box.  This is the best way I've found to secure a potted plant in the mail.  If you have issue with spray foam, let me know.

I am seyagi on ourfigs. My plants never get synthetic fertilizer after initial rooting as my farm is Certified Naturally Grown. I only use organic fertilizer, amendments, teas, soil etc. or are in ground, and I get good production for my third year growing figs. My mother trees derive from trustworthy sellers on ourfigs and this site. Please inquire if you want to know my source(s). Assume my fig plants have been exposed to Fig Mosaic Virus. You will receive the tree/cutting pictured. Thanks for looking and have a happy figging day!
