This specimen for sale is a year old rooted cutting. Well hardened off, it was outdoors in zone 9b in this pot for most of 2018.
One of the coolest fig tree species, native to north & central Africa, Ficus abutilifolia is also called the African Rock Fig & it's closely related to Ficus carica, the common edible fig. Produces large thick beautiful round leaves, will grow indoors in bright light, or in sun exposed window. Research says its hardy to low 20's F. My plants have been exposed to below 30F suffering only loss of leaves. May survive planted outdoors in zone 9b but will need to be tested to confirm. Probably graft compatible with F. carica. The African Rock Fig has strong roots & will produce beautiful aerial roots under humid conditions.
Shipping included in the purchase price, The plant will be bare-rooted before shipping, pot not included.
