LSU Purple fig tree- 1 gallon

  This auction is for the LSU Purple fig tree pictured.  It is a very healthy tree started from a cutting in a 1 gallon pot. Tree is guaranteed to be correct variety.  I am a long time fig grower in Louisiana, member name Wisner on Ourfigs.  Louisiana licensed and inspected.  My source for my tree is Roy Young Nursery (Fruit Ranch) in Abbeville La.  Mr Young sold fig trees produced off his orchard of fig trees.  I have grown LSU Purple for several years and it has been a very good producing and fast growing tree.   Tree will ship on Monday after auction ends.  USPS Priority shipping to Continental US only.   Description from an LSU Fig field day I attended:

Released from LSU in 1991, the flavor is excellent and mild and the sugar content is high.  It has a closed eye and resists spoiling.  The tree is a very vigorous and upright grower and more hardy than most figs. 

Older trees may produce 3 distinct crops each year.  LSU Purple is highly resistant to leaf diseases.
