Montanha Verde is a very rare cultivar from near the border of Portugal and Spain, exclusive to the collection of Dato Syed Elias.
Montanha Verde is a very productive cultivar that will produce medium fruit with green skin, very striking vivid red pulp packed with an intense flavor and complexity. It is juicy and has a berry flavor, with the perfect amount of sweetness.
Montanha Verde is a common type fig and does not need pollination by wasps.
Up for bid is a very healthy and well-rooted Montanha Verde fig tree, in a 1-gallon pot. This tree for sale is rooted cutting came from my mother tree received from a local trade. This tree is 19 inches tall from top of the soil to the tip of the tree.
While this plant shows no signs of FMV, I assume that it has been exposed to FMV.
Please acclimate this fig tree for a week or longer for weather adjustment.
This tree is very healthy and well rooted in one gallon pot but needs proper care when up-potting it, to make sure to treat it like a newly rooted tree for a week or longer and slowly introduce it to the hot sun so it will not die. I still bring this tree inside the house at night and take it out to the shade during day time.
All the fruit pictures shown came from my Montanha Verde mother tree.
