Description

Greetings !!!

I have  limited numbers on this one.

Up for auction is this rooted cutting of Paratjal Rimada.  It’s an rare striped Spanish fig from the collection of Monserrat Pons.   It’s a beautiful fig with a rich berry flavor.

My name is Dan Foster.   I’ve been growing figs since 2011 and it’s become a passion of mine that I hope you’ll find to be as rewarding as I have.   My goal when I began this obsession was to grow and taste as many varieties as I can to find the best tasting figs for my area.   This is still true today.

You can find me on Facebook and Ourfigs fig forum.  All of my figs should be assumed to have been exposed in some way to FMV Fig Mosaic Virus.  When young, figs will often show more severe symptoms, but most of the time many of them grow out of this as long as good growing and fertilizing practices are in place.

You will receive the exact plant that is photographed.  They are grown in a 3"x 8" Stuewe & Sons Tree-pot along with a professional growing mix.  They should have a very nice root system and should rebound from transplanting easily.  Once transplanted, I think it’s always a good idea to place the newly planted tree in a shadier location for a week just to make sure it can recover adequately to its new environment.   This is especially true when replanting in a southern location or when the temperatures are above 80.

My growing operation has been inspected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and I’m licensed to ship to all 50 States. Included with this inspection is a Certificate of Quarantine Compliance in accordance with the U.S. Domestic Japanese Beetle Harmonization Plan.  I will only ship inside the continental U.S.   Send me a message if you have any questions.  I usually ship using a box from 18x4x4 to a 24x4x4 box and can combine shipping as follows up to 4 figs.   I use USPS Priority shipping.  I can use Fedex if you desire.  Please make sure you email me your phone # so that I can buy the shipping label promptly.   I will ship out Sunday auctions on Tuesday morning‬ and Thursday auctions ship out Saturday morning at the latest.

Please help me out on these details:  I don’t usually see messages from PayPal after auctions are won asking me to wait to ship. The faster your invoice is paid, the faster I can get your plants out.  I will place the tracking # on your invoice in Figbid once I print the shipping label.  Combined shipping is available with multiple auctions being won through FigBid within the same day.  It gets very difficult saving plants from winning buyers while they bid on the next weeks auctions.  If you can't receive the plants, please wait, and bid on a future auction.  I've found that In many cases because these are ready to ship, they will need a taller box if I must hold a plant.  Caring for them for an extended time after the auction is over can be very challenging.

Shipping to California is not an issue with me us because of the certifications and inspections I've acquired.  You may be taking a risk buying from other growers who have not taken these steps.   *** Shipping can still be slow due to the pandemic.  Please be patient and understanding of the issues associated with the shipping process ***.

Combined shipping:

1 Fig:   $15.00

2 Figs: $20.00

3 Figs: $25.00

4 Figs: $30.00

Thank you for your support and happy figging!!!!!
