Owensboro (Unknown). 2 Cuttings.

A friend of mine found this one growing in Owensboro, KY years ago. Thus it is noted as an "unknown" variety is added.

This is clearly a Mt Etna type fig. The fruits are similar in size & color as Hardy Chicago but this one has a distinctly more intense berry flavor. One of my favorites for this reason.

I first started growing my own fig trees in 2009 after tasting a fresh fig for the first time. That's all it took! I had no idea at the time that there were hundreds of other varieties of figs waiting to be discovered. Since then, I have enjoyed many other amazing fig varieties.  It's been a pleasure to see the fig people's community grow the way it has over the past 10 years!
