Longue d'Aout. 3 Cuttings.

Longue d'Aout (translated  Long of August) is a large, excellent tasting fig. The flavor is sweet, rich, and complex. One of my favorites. This has been one of my most consistent producing trees here in zone 6b. Oblong, sometimes odd shaped figs, can have varying shades of green and purple when ripe.

This variety will produce a breba crop of even larger figs if protected from frost in winter. It also begins producing a main crop fairly early and persists in ripening good fruits right into cool weather (I picked two nice fruits on Oct 17th last year). I highly recommend LdA for colder zones.

I first started growing my own fig trees in 2009 after tasting a fresh fig for the first time. That's all it took! I had no idea at the time that there were hundreds of other varieties of figs waiting to be discovered. Since then, I have enjoyed many other amazing fig varieties.  It's been a pleasure to see the fig people's community grow the way it has over the past 10 years!
