Galicia Negra - 2 Dormant Cuttings - "Top Tier" Fig Variety

The Galicia Negra is a very vigorous tree that puts out crops of medium / large figs. Galicia Negra fig is characterized by a dark purple to black outer skin with a purple/crimson colored, very thick, chewy pulp with a richly intense berry and figgy flavor, mild caramel/honey sweetness and a moderate seed crunch. According to literature, the plant gets its name from the Galicia region of Spain in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula where it originated. Galicia Negra begins to ripen fruit in early to mid September in my grow zone of 6A and will continue to ripen fruit thru the onset of first consistent frosts. In my orchard, the fruit seems to resist splitting due to humidity as well as spoilage due to incurrsions by ants and winged insects.

Cuttings will be cut fresh just prior to packaging and shipping.  My trees are now fully dormant. Minimum 6" / 3-5 nodes per cutting.
