Description

You are bidding on two fully lignified cuttings of Unknown Boston #12. This is one of nearly 40 figs I've found in the Boston-area over the last few years, and I think it's worthy of introduction. The mother plant is uncovered every winter and does not die back to the ground. That's pretty amazing. Every other fig I've seen in the area, and the 50 or so figs I've trialed on my own, have all completely died back to the ground in this climate. Unknown Boston #12 does suffer some die-back every year, but only on younger shoots.

Flavor-wise, it's excellent: rich and deeply berry flavored. Most of the other figs I've found have been Mt. Etna types that are similar or the same as what's already in circulation. This one is unique. It's also early ripening and productive. Cuttings will be cut fresh the day they're shipped. Shipping in the U.S. only. Thanks for looking.
