I will ship to anywhere in the US on Mondays. All of the varieties I am offering have fruited for me and have been confirmed to be true to type. They've also been cut fresh and have plenty of moisture within. Thank you & feel free to ask me any questions.

Varietal Info: This fig is easily in my top 5 varieties. Azores Dark is very early & a heavy bearer with similar characteristics to Hardy Chicago & the other 60+ named figs that I would place in that category, but I've found this to be superior to the others that I've grown. The flavor really takes some years to mature, but when it does, you'll be awfully surprised. It also has a virtually nonexistent thin skin and the texture is of a pleasing gooey thick jam. In fact it's a lot like eating a fig, strawberry and concord grape jam in one. One of my favorites in the flavor department.

Waking up in my greenhouse in mid March, this fig sets a heavy crop without pinching in early April and ripens its first main crop July 1st. It also ripens a second main crop two years in a row in September/October after the tree resumes growth. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect a 3rd crop in long season climates. Because it bears so heavily and doesn't stop fruiting, I've had trouble getting my tree to grow. Finally I planted my Mother tree in ground this spring along with many copies now in pots. We'll see this year when it ripens in ground, in the greenhouse and without a head start in a pot.
