Smith fig tree

  First time figbid seller, long time eBay seller as Wisner1894. Member Wisner on Ourfigs forum.  This is my last Smith tree to sell this year. 

  This auction is for the Smith tree pictured.  It is a young tree that I started this spring from my tree in a 1 gallon pot.  Some  of the leaves are getting a little ragged late in the season, but it is a healthy tree.  Tree is guaranteed to be correct variety.
  I have grown Smith for several years, and it is a very good producing tree.  My source for my Smith is from Roy Young Nursery in Abbeville, La.  Mr. Young sold fig trees at his nursery that he produced off his own fig orchard.  Description of Smith from a LSU Field Day I attended:
    A superior, heirloom variety that has been in the Becnel family of Plaquemines Parish for over 100 years.  It is a big, flattened, yellow fig with brown shading.  The color of the flesh is deep red and it has a drop of honey at the eye.  The quality of this exceptionally sweet fig is outstanding.  The fruit ripens 5-7 days after Celeste.
